What these pages add
Every code on these pages is generated from the same engine that powers the translator, so none of it is typed by hand and none of it can drift out of step with the standard.
Each page also covers something the raw code does not tell you: which abbreviation operators actually send instead, why a particular pair of letters is easy to confuse, or how long the message takes on the air. If you only need the sequence, the chart is quicker.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are these codes generated?
From the same translation engine as the main translator, at build time. Nothing on these pages is typed by hand, so a wrong sequence cannot be introduced by editing text.
Can I translate my own phrase?
Yes, use the translator on the home page. It handles any text, including numbers and punctuation, and plays it back as audio.
Why do operators use abbreviations instead?
Because every extra element costs time and is another chance for interference to corrupt the message. TU for thank you and 73 for best regards are a fraction of the length of the full words.
